A motivational seminar rant... (My first rant)

Picture if you will, a normal morning's commute. A little snow, but roads are in fact clear. Might add 5 minutes to the drive. Not so bad.

So, on the way into downtown where I work, I hear that "...there is considerable traffic jams around the fieldhouse, where the Zig Ziglar seminar is going on today."

Damn. These seminars always start at about the same time the workday does when they happen. That means an additional 15-16,000 parking spots will be taken in the downtown area, and a bunch of clueless goobers will be walkin' around.

I thought about getting out of my van, standing on the hood and shouting "Dream it! See it! Be it! Do it! Okay? I just saved you $149! Now get the hell out of here, go home, and stop clogging the traffic!"

Took me an additional 45 minutes to get to work.

Anyone else have a shitty commute today?

Traffic seemed ok this morning, but yeah ... how to be motivated when fighting 10,000 other people for 2 parking spots.

Tried to circumvent the stuff by going around downtown to the south side exits.

3. My commute took 6 hours

But that's because of my lay-over in Cleveland. Nice airport - very impressed...

P.S. Read today's USA Today - all about Ohio. Seriously I think three of the front page stories were Ohio related. Rock Hall of Fame, Highway Sniper and coal plant pollution...

EVERY FREAKING DAY I have to fight that kind of traffic. And people wonder why I'm half insane :eyes:

But, if you're not used to it, it is harder to take.
