It's now official...
Calling it in, time of death of JonathanChance's 1992 Ford Tempo GL 2 door, 13:05.

I called the adjuster.
It's totalled.

The Salvage company is coming tomorrow morning to haul her away.

Shit. Now I need a new ride.

1. Is the salvage company giving you anything for it?
I got a whopping $600 for my '93 Honda Accord when I smashed it up. This was in '98. I had to use that money to buy tires and brakes for the 1990 Mazda Truck my dad gave me.

I hope you can find a new ride cheaply and quickly.

2. I'm getting $150.00 for salvage.
I'm lucky that there's still a lot of these things on the road around where I am, so spare parts are somewhat in demand. There's still a lot of good stuf on that car. Most of the engine should still be good, the rear bodywork has nary a ding nor rust, the wheels are still good so They'll chop her up real good.

3. Sorry about your car!
But it is an opportunity to go car shopping! I had the best time test-driving cars I couldn't afford a few years ago!

7. I remember...
Test driving a beautiful '66 Corvair at a Chevy Dealership in Crivitz. It was this nice deep, sexy burgundy color, with the right amount of polish, it would be quite the looker. I'll never take power Steering for granted again. The thing ran beautifully, though. They were only asking $4000.

6. This isn't the worst part.....
Now that everyone on campus has heard about my accident, I am being innundated with offers like "Hey, I got this nice old '87 Mustang, just got her painted last fall, it's yours for $3000" or "I got this old '86 Bronco II nice V6, runs like a dream for only $2500". GAHHH!!!!!!! I need a new ride, but I won't buy from another private individual, youy always end up getting screwed. I'd rather trust a dealer. I keep telling them this, but do they listen, no! They just keep offering me deals like they're Monty fucking Hall!
