WTF have they done to Jello Brand Pistachio pudding?? I haven't bought it in years but needed it for a St. Pat's Day recipe I'm making. I opened the box and sprinkled it on the milk and it turned Neon Green! Definitely not the color I remember. I started to whip it and it seemed kind of "fizzy," which was also odd, but I went on and then added the marshmallows and chocolate chips, put it in the parfait glasses and of course then licked the bowl to see what it tasted like. YUKKKKKKK What have they done to it? Instead of this creamy, pale color it looked slimy and repulsive and tasted like chemicals. I can't serve this! Should I throw it out? What do I do for dessert?
Not only is that bad enough, but I broke down and bought a "corned beef." I haven't eaten beef since the Mad Cow thing in December. But, I'm having company and it's the St. Patrick's Day Tradition. I have that thing simmering in my pot and I swear it's yelling "Mad Cow, Mad Cow, Mad Cow!"
This dinner is really getting me nauseated. And, I have to serve it tonight, which is a day early because of schedules.
I don't even want to eat this stuff and I love St. Paddy's day and all the food that goes with it. :-(
Anyone else having a "Corned Beef" dilemna (to eat or not to eat..what about tradition?) And again, What have they done to my Jello puddings? Did some ingredient change in the past couple of years? Do you feel safe eating it? Maybe I should toss it! I don't want folks getting sick the date was okay on the box, too.
