What's for Dinner?
Smothered chicken, broccoli, and Jasmine Rice. Enjoying the meal with a 2001 Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley and a 2000 Fume Blanc from Napa. Yes, we do have company tonight! Mrs. Shakey's California counterpart.

7. Indeed,
"Bachelor Chow" covers most everything a single guy can buy in bulk at Costco, cook (read: reheat) easily, and preferably devour without need of plates or utensils.

19. Leftovers!
But it's braised lamb shanks from Saturday. Tasted even better tonight. Too bad we ate up all the dry, crusty bread to sop up the juices.

Well, there were only the two of us. Um, three if you include the dog. Scraped out all the identifiable onion and gave him some scraps. He liked it, too.

Actually, it's left over from last night. And I ate at the keyboard and shared with my cat, who has been having trouble eating but no trouble bumming tidbits.
