6. "Bread and Butter" was fun.
It was a happy song, everyone seemed to like it. And it wasn't boring enough to make number one...

11. So, in your opinion, if "Bread & Butter" had gone to #1...
...that would have magically turned it into a boring song? :eyes:

12. Yes. Because it would have been played to death, dug up and
played again to death, and would be playing to this day on the
'oldie' stations, which have ruined just about every song I ever liked.

Thank ______ it was never number one.

13. Err.... I've got news for ya.
That's exactly what happened to "Bread and Butter," at least here in Connecticut.

Still a good record, though.

7. Bob Dylan changed the history of music with 'Like a Rolling Stone'.
Music suddenly became a reflection of what real life was like, not just little ditties to some broken hearted teenagers couldn't see beyond their own wounded affections. He made us grow up, he made young people realize that what you see is not generally reality, but a facade, what people would like you to see. Dylan changed music, and to an extent, history.

Like a Rolling Stone was about lies and hypocrisy. It certainly jarred me the first time I heard it.

9. She's Not There
The Zombies are one of the best and most underrated groups of the 60's. Odessey and Oracle is one of the best albums of the decade.

Mr. Lonely?! Puhleeze! This should have been their first number one.
