Remember "Family Affair"? Remember "Uncle Bill"?
That son of a bitch had a really good job.

He was always off on "projects" in Africa or something.

It all sounds real cool and rosy until you realize that he had to hire Mr. French to take care of everything for him.

How do you feel about THAT, Uncle Bill? How's your big job looking to you now?

21. I do them everyday...
it involves the hand going from side-to-side at a 45 degree angle...with a closed-mouth sigh.
I stole it right from Brian Keith.

2. Not only that, but the bastard used to...
"go out on dates" and "take women to dinner" almost every night when he happened to be home from Africa. Yeah right.

What he was really doing was having one night stands WITH A DIFFERENT WOMAN EVERY NIGHT!

He probably used to go out to the high end bar down the street, meet some woman, and start in with his fucking bullshit "blah blah blah...project manager in Africa...blah blah blah...French helps me out...you're very pretty...blah blah blah".

Then, he would take these women home, and the booze would come out while French and the kids were sleeping.

I bet poor Jody would stumble over empty whiskey bottles in the hallway while sleepily walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

...walking in on the trapeze, whips, and crotchless rubber nun's habit.

6. French grew that...he was the only one who could do anything.
Bill was useless, and I highly doubt that he was a project manager. I think he was one of those con men. I think that Mr. French was here illegally from France, and Bill was blackmailing him.

French would give him hush money so Bill could sustain his lavish lifestyle.

15. Yes,
I don't seem to remember Mr. French having any outside live outside to the apartment.

Of course it has been many years since I have seen the show and I was a kid.

16. The only episode that showed him outside...
was the second to the last one.

They caught him at the zoo in the middle of the night wearing nothing but a bib and a pair of shoes.

He had a razor in his hand.

When the cops asked him what he was doing there, he said he "just wanted to shave all of the little monkeys".

I don't remember the one on the show ever talking (although Buffy had some pretend conversations with her), but there was a toy on the market that talked when you pulled its string. I'm old enough to have had one in my toy box!!!!

She was a Nanny of some other kids and they used to meet in the park and do it in the bushes.

26. He was their second uncle - the first one was William Frawley
He played Bub. But that was before they got rid of Mike - yes, there were four sons total. Ernie used to be a friend, then he turned into a son.

31. Aw, thanks!
That little black girl was so lucky her mom knew it was important to let the big, strange white man into the kitchen to fix all her emotional problems.

Seriously, I enjoyed this flashback. We used to watch this show during dinner sometimes, growing up.
