and you book your own flights.
What if the touring company cancels the tour? Seems to me you run the risk of getting stuck with the tickets.

But I wonder if they'd try to weasel out of it. Insurance companies have a habit of trying to weasel out of whatever they can possibly weasel out of.

And we used it once.
We had decided to take a brief vacation in Hawaii, and then I got sick. So we canceled, and the insurance paid.
I don't recall any hassle, though...
