whaddya do?
I ate a burrito about four hours ago and it still feels like I *JUST* ate the damned thing. It's sitting in my stomach like an anvil.
Short of purging, what does one do?

and I've eaten burritos from this place many, many times. But this one just has a certain stick-to-it-iveness that, while admirable, is getting rather uncomfortable.

4. Psyllium fiber drink. Soda. Pepcid. Sleep. |
|
That's usually what I do.
Psyllium fiber drink? The most popular brand is Metamucil. Get the generic. It's downright cheap and it works just as well. Don't over-do it. Two teaspoons is plenty.
Soda will help you burp out some of the gas. Drink decaf soda, or decaf/diet soda if you can.
Pepcid -- the generic is famotidine -- will reduce stomach acid.
Sleep will let you ignore the problem.
Good luck!

11. Club soda works wonders for these situations... |
|
It has a bit of sodium bicarbonate in it, and the super-fizziness will help break things up.
Hang in there --
