Texas Tech won. St Joe's is winning big early in the game. Bama and Southern Illinois have a great game going late in the game.

2. EVERY YEAR at least one #12 upsets a #5

I think a couple of years ago, there were THREE #12 teams that won in the first round. If you're going to pick an upset, you can never go wrong with a 12 over a 5.

I didn't do brackets this year, but I knew going in that this was a reasonable pick to make.

I still remember when my #12 Drexel Dragons and Malik Rose beat #5 Memphis back in 1996! :bounce:

got Maryland, lost the Tech and Manhattan ones, I was so tempted by the Jaspers, but I figured there's been so much talk about an upset there this week that Florida would find a back bone and fight back. guess not.

GOOOO SALUKIS! and it doesn't look good for Syracuse, but I had them losing in round two anyway.

Thank god for John Gilchrist, or I'd really be slammed.
