Gimme nominees for "favorite SANTANA number" poll
Edited on Thu Mar-18-04 08:41 PM by undisclosedlocation
Just for a change, I thought I'd do one with somebody who had a hit (almost) in the 21st Century. You know there's never been a Santana poll on DU2?

I'm for "Nobody To Depend On" myself.

Edit: Gotta learn to proofread! :)

3. Samba Pa Ti
But it's an instrumental. What a beautiful love song, at least I think it is.

4. OK, who remembers "Hold On," Santana's forgotten hit from 1982?
Edited on Thu Mar-18-04 08:40 PM by NightTrain
IIRC, it reached #15 on the Billboard Hot 100. Always liked the song, but never heard it on the radio again after it fell off the charts. Truly a forgotten 45.

6. Trivia question
What '70s band was fronted by Carlos Santana's brother, Jorge?

8. I looked it up, but had never heard of them
Having cheated, I won't reveal the answer here but instead will kick in hopes of both additional nominationage and that DUers with better 70s trivia knowledge will look in.

Did they have hits?

9. Re: Did they have hits?
Let's just say, they made it into THE BILLBOARD BOOK OF ONE-HIT WONDERS.
