True story about Atomic Dog? I have it on cassette in our car--and when my daughter was about three, I'd play it in the car for her because she liked the "Bow wow wow, yippie oh, Yippie ay!" part.

Hubby is not fond of funk--but puts up with it because he knows I like it. Whenever he drove the car, he'd put on Ladysmith Black Mombasa or something else like Pink Floyd--anything but Atomic Dog or Parliament Funkadelic.

One day he's driving down the highway, with Floyd on and our three year old starts asking for the "Dog Song." Hubby explains he's listening to something else. Darling Daughter sits for a second, (and I swear the first part was a blast from the past) says, "You call this music? It is noise! Put on that good stuff Mommy likes!"
