Grr. Bought a Logitech Revolution MX mouse tonight at big box store...

Magic Mouse



I say this as a Mac user who has a Logitech LX3 corded mouse - it was the one that felt best in my hand.

Also bought at the "best" big box store, for about $5 more than I could get it online.

2. does the thing actually work as advertised?

I've hated every Apple mouse I've ever had... Logitech's are so much nicer IMHO.

The new one looks intriguing, but Apple's hyperminimalism scares me, too.

It's a tempting piece of gear, I'll be sure to post my impressions here.

Edited to add: I go for minimalist mice, the fewer buttons the better, the LX3 has two buttons and a scroll wheel, meeting my every need. The Mighty Mouse (may it burn in hell), was good on paper, but that stupid, dirt collecting trackball which worked well when new, was an abomination after a few weeks. When I bought my Mac Pro back in March, the Mighty Mouse never left the styrofoam it was wedged into.
