That's right. After a dismal showing yesterday (11-5), I am 8 for 8 so far today. GO ME!

1. 6 for 8 for me today

I had Western Michigan upsetting Vandy and South Carolina upsetting Memphis. Neither of those came all that close, but I had to endure some squeakers with Cincy and Georgia Tech, too.

Thus far I am 18 for 24. We'll see how I do for the rest of the day's games. I think my most vulnerable picks are Providence and Wisconsin.

2. I was sweatin it out with ya...

on that Cincy game. It was hard not to root for ETSU too even knowing I had Cincy in my bracket. :) I love underdogs.

Doesn't matter what my brackets look like, I always root for the underdog if the game is close. You can always see it on the faces of the players when they're close to pulling off an upset. Even the neutral crowds always get behind the underdog in games like that.

I definitely love to see the little guy win. I think that's part of the liberal in me right there. :)

Some day a 16 seed is going to knock off a 1 seed, and it's going to murder everybody's brackets, but I hope I have the privilege of watching that game. Because it will be very good.

4. I live in hope...

of a 16 beating a 1. It has happened in the NCAA Women's tourny exactly once. Back in 1998 I think...Harvard beat Stanford. It was amazing.

I just read a really neat article over on Yahoo about why we all love the NCAA tourny. (Tried to put in the link but it isn't really working)*sigh*

It was fun to watch everybody in my office drift toward the tv in the break room as the afternoon games today got down to the wire. :)
