OK, let's see how much static I get for this:

I just came from a nearby gas station, for which my employer has a credit card. The station's owner is a real freeper type, so much so that he sells pro-Bush and anti-liberal bumper stickers in the station's convenience store.

Since I've been at this job for four-and-a-half years, the owner knows my face by now. So as I handed him the credit card, he asked, "You glad spring is coming?"

"Oh god, yes," I replied. "So much so that I'm taking tomorrow off."

"Doing anything special?"

"Yeah. I'm heading down to New York for this big anti-Bush rally."

He raised his bushy white eyebrows. "Anti-Bush?"

"Yeah! Tomorrow's the first anniversary of the start of the Iraq war. What better a way to spend it than proesting that evil piece of white shit?"

The owner said nothing, but the look on his grizzled, burly face made it quite obvious that my remarks had achieved their intended purpose! :evilgrin:

Just yesterday I was behind a car that had bumperstickers pasted all over the back. Literally, there must have been 60 R-W bumperstickers.

So when the guy parked right next to me at the hardware store, I got out, looked at his car and then looked at him (he was getting something out of the car trunk). I said, "You're a real crackpot, aren't you?"

Didn't wait for an answer; just walked off.
