Had the strangest dream last night about Civil Unrest
I dreamt I worked at a store in Jersey City, NJ. (I don't work at a store and I don't live in Jersey City - tho I used to) In the dream there was a big riot going on in the streets, I'm not sure what it was related to, but there was a lot of violence in the streets and people were running to the store seeking refuge. I was at the door, letting people in, and it started to get really crowded inside.

Then there was this small group who had shot guns who wanted to come in, and I said they couldn't come in and locked the door.

I find it odd that I would say to people with guns that they couldn't come in when the could have easily blasted their way in. And they listened to me. That has to mean something but I'm not sure what.

3. Just playing around with this dream...
Jersey City has had its share of terrorists residing there.

Violence in the streets could be a counterpart to Iraq.

The store could represent commerce.

Small group with arms that you refuse--although you give space to others who are seeking refuge--could the small group be bushco>

Usually, though, dreams are about personal things.

Prob'ly has something to do with personal relationships--people who have power, people who don't, and how you respond.

4. oh and did you think about this?
"civil" unrest. Maybe there are some arrested feelings and you are trying to be civil about it?

Maybe there are some people who look like they won't listen but the dream is telling you they actually could.

5. Yeah, thanks NJCher
I guess I like the fact that I stood up to the people who seemed more powerful and instead of blowing my head off they went away. Maybe it's message to myself to be more assertive.

But definitely current events provided the symbols. You know, I used to dream about tornadoes all the time, but ever since 9/11 I have recurring dreams about airplanes crashing. I'm never in them, I'm always on the ground watching them crash. Just had one Saturday night.
