I used a day off, designated for 2010, and slept...
and slept...and slept.

It's almost noon... I guess I should get out of bed.

3. When you need it, you know.
I did that Sunday night, thanks to leftover grogginess from allergy pills the night before. Laid down for a nap around 5:30, woke up at 10pm, got up to turn off the lights and went back to sleep. I didn't get up until 6am the next morning, but I'm finally rested and got that stuff out of my system :D

4. Yep
Oh, allergy meds... they can have awful side effects. They sometimes make me extremely irritable. NOT good.

6. I haven't had that side effect, just the massive drowsiness.
My father gave me an Allegra, and it kind of helped, but no where near as good as the kind that knock you out. The only non-drowsy allergy med I've ever had any success with (again a pill here and there from my father) was Seldane, and it's off the market.

7. Allegra did not work in the least for me...
Zyrtec made me irritable (and ravenously hungry :-() but worked. Clarinex does make me sleep... and dries me out too much. I use two different nasal sprays instead (one in the a.m. and one just before bed). Seems to be better than all those pills for me.

9. I haven't tried Zyrtec, but have been tempted.
Any of the Claritin products do nothing but take my money ;)
I have used an Afrin generic with success for clearing my sinuses when I simply cannot breathe through them at all, but that's the only one. What are the others worth trying? :)

10. This is *not* medical advice...
what works for me is Flonase in the a.m. and Astelin at night.

12. I've only heard of Flonase and never tried it
but don't think I've seen the second one. I'm just an OTC self-medicater when it comes to my allergies. My biggest problem is living in an apartment with 20+ year-old carpeting that should have been thrown out before we moved here (I was married at the time.) Once I can move someplace with wood floors, I will be better. I had allergy problems over the holidays at my folks' place, but only inside. I'd go outside and my allergies would settle down, even with all the cedar trees everywhere ;)

11. I've had that one.
Benadryl should come with a warning that says NEVER EVER TAKE IF YOU HAVE A BABY. Omg, the rage. :(

8. Hey there!
Yes, I feel human again. Made my coffee a bit strong, though. And that is REALLY strong for me! lol

13. Hey you!
I know what you mean. Nothing better than a completely restful night's (and sometimes day's) sleep. Then some good robust coffee to ease into the day. Good sleep is one of life's sinful pleasures when you can have it.

14. Sometimes it's your body fighting off an illness before you really get sick.
