I saw Colin in concert this past summer (in Springfield OH, my hometown) and he was incredibly good. I expected an entire band, but it was just him and a guitar. One of the best concerts I've seen in recent years (aside from Los Lonely Boys, and the Cheiftains w/ The Corrs, and Paquito D'Rivera). In addition to being talented, he's also funny as hell. Typical Scotsman.
