I know, there's no point in asking "why does a cat...?"
My elderly cat's day consists of sleeping in the best spot, snarling at all the other cats, glaring at me, sitting in my lap ignoring me, biting me if I scratch the wrong part of her back or trying to drink all the water in the water fountain so the other cats can't get anyway (she gets really pissed off when I refill it).
Last night she started running around the house, stopping to bite and scratch at a spot on her back, then run around some more, then clawed the living shit out of the scratching post, then more running around, then up and down the cat castle a few times, then napped in the middle of the doorway.
I checked her for fleas and other bugs but nothing.
Now what?
