I'm 40, and there is a part of me that wishes I still lived with my parents. I miss them. They miss me. They're in another time zone. Appreciate each other while you're there (I know it's not easy - I still get along with mine WAY better when I'm not with them for more than 2 weeks on end).

You are nothing vaguely resembling a loser. You're still very young (from my POV anyway) and everything can change within 6 months, never mind the 50+ years you still have left).

Old as I am, I don't envy you, because life really DOES get better with age. I have learned to respect myself, know my gifts and my limits, and enjoy my own company way better than I did when I was 28.
