Any domain name transfer experts here? Yahoo is involved...
I have a domain managed by yahoo. There isn't any webpage associated with it, just some redirect code. I wanna give it to a friend. Yahoo does not have instructions on how to do this. I asked, but got an answer to a different question that I did not ask, which is pretty much how yahoo support works. at this point I think I may have my friend set up a Go Daddy account and give me the password, and I will try to push the domain over, sound OK? Any suggestions?

If you don't have suggestions, post pictures of fruit so I don't get lonely. TIA.

2. I didn't know Yahoo hosted domains, BUT...
If you call GoDaddy's tech support line they will explain it to you. I've used GoDaddy for a long time (with 30+ domains) and their tech support is excellent. I'm sure they've seen your situation before.

4. I see some info on godaddy help.
I'll tell my friend to get a Godaddy account and then I will push it on over. Tech support, what a concept! Yahoo is a ghost town when you want to ask a question. Thanks!

5. You need to find out who controls the...
...Domain Name Servers (DNS), and go through them to redirect the Primary and Secondary Name Servers to the hosting service you would like it to be on.

PM me with the domain name and I'll see if I can help you some more.

6. It can be a pain in the ass...
Tried to transfer one recently, and the receiving registry wanted faxes of business documents and scans of photo IDs and other shit. This was within GoDaddy... turns out, it was very easy for me (the owner) to "push" it to their account.

You could just change the DNS information and keep it in your name, but point it to your friend, unless there are trust issues.
