Welcome to LynneSin's household: My new cat Evita

Today I finally adopted a girlfriend for my cat Abbott. I ended up getting a different cat than I thought I would adopt (the other cat was older and did not take well to me and the owner of the sanctuary said I would be better off adopting someone else).

Evita is about a year old and she is all soft grey with big yellow eyes. She's a little sore cause she just got fixed about 3 days ago. Her and Abbie absolutely hate each other right now :cry:

But she is a gentle purring machine who has been sleeping on my bed. When I go to work tomorrow she'll be moved to my bathroom where I'll set her up with everything she needs so she can get adjusted without the hassle of her boyfriend.

Her name Evita happened because that song started playing in my car when we were riding home. Evita is my favorite Broadway musical (I was listening to Madonna's greatest hits V2). But I usually just call her Evie for short.

Ours hated each other at first too. Now they are settled down a lot, not best friends but no fighting.

5. Abbott and Evita are both on my bed facing each other

No growling, just kinda staring and meowing calmly at each other. Abbie is probably giving lil Evie the law of the land (he is like twice her size) and hopefully they'll live happily ever after!!!

I'm afraid to go back into my bedroom - they look so peaceful

Don't worry about them not liking each other right now. They both need some time to adjust. Calvin and Tucker HATED each other when I first brought Tucker home, now they get along fine. Tucker still has a bit of the kitten in him and likes to pick fights, and every so often, Calvin obliges, but they are now best of friends, and can even be spotted occasionally grooming each other.

Enjoy life with two cats. I couldn't imagine my life without them.
