So often any more, I have a response half written, then just delete...
I stop myself when I realize that engaging in some conversations will just be pointless and potentially stressful, so, more often than not, I just let them go...

1. You should write the other half and post the whole.
For people who make your conversations stressful, there is an ignore feature available.

4. Well, I realize that there's a chance the *I* will be the jerk in the conversation.
"Well, the jerk store called, and they're all out of YOU..."

2. I think you are wise.
Wish I was more like that.

7. Is it wise, or do I just lack the courage of my convictions?
If I hold a contrary opinion, why shouldn't I be free to express it? Because I know it may not be politically correct? (Especially around here.) If I'm actually wrong, wouldn't I benefit by being corrected?

Or is it a case of "Never argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience." ??

Life is confusing. I just want a nap.

8. There's courage...
and then there is recklessness.

I did decide to walk away from one name I was called today... just because I can't even think of a comeback! lol

3. I do the same thing.
I'll get the whole response written out, and on rereading it think, "that could be misinterpreted", or "it sounds too mean", and I won't post it.

6. I do that too,
I suppose the next step is to not be tempted to respond to nonsense in the first place. I'm working on it.
