Poll question: Starsky or Hutch? Who's hotter...

OK I am talking the REAL Starsky and Hutch. While I enjoyed the movie and accepted it for what it is, a comedy, Ben Stiller is no Paul Michael Glaser that is so for sure.

Since I don't care for blondes I don't really have a strong opinion on Owen Wilson's portrayal of Hutch.

On second thought I will include the other two in the poll as well.

but if you put all of them at the same age, I'd say he was the best.

4. I bought the box set of year one. What a great show. It really holds up

well. Love them both. First time I ever saw two men
hug each other and it was unabashed. If you didn't
see it first run, its hard to imagine how ground
breaking their relationship was.

I didn't realize how groundbreaking their relationship was. Watching the DVDs as an adult I see a lot more than how INCREDIBLY GORGEOUS Paul Michael Glaser was (and am even more thankful that he wore his shirts open most of the time)....

7. MUCH homoerotic stuff that would not get on

network TV today...heck we don't even see Will getting physical with a man and HE'S OPENLY gay! In one of the first episodes of S&H, Hutch is taken captive by a mobster and turned onto heroin and in short order becomes an addict (I don't know how true to life it is that one can become addicted so easily but that's what happened in the show). Starsky (yum, yum) finds him and helps him detox. He is seen holding Hutch and rubbing his body...no way would something like that be on network TV, post JJ boobygate.

Ben Stiller has more votes than PAUL MICHAEL GLASER? I see no defense of those votes....

Even today, at 61, PMG fills a pair of jeans better than Stiller!

Good actor and I admire the way he took care of his wife, Elizabeth. She died of AIDS several years ago.

David Soul used to be cute then, but he hasn't aged well and despite that annoyingly cute top 40 song, I think he got slapped for domestic violence shortly after the end of the series.

I did enjoy the show when it was origianally on. :D :thumbsup:

12. Yes, PMG has proven he is a mensch

I so feel for what he must have gone through. My uncle had AIDS and I have lost a couple of friends to AIDS as well. It was incredibly difficult for me to watch my uncle suffer as he did.

PMG had to watch his wife AND young daughter die.

16. I liked Starsky more as a child

but watching it on TV Land as an adult, I think Hutch is more huggable. I saw the new movie 2 weekends ago and I loved it! I thought Stiller and Wilson did fine in the parts (those parts are hard to recreate for the die-hard fans.) Stiller was funny as Starsky, but not as hot. Stiller looks a little too ape-like in the face/ears.
