Question about spam

And anyone who makes a Python joke is predictable and boring.


I participate in another online discussion board using a generic platform.

Every Sunday for the past month or so, the entire server's been inaccessible. After dodging the question for several weeks, the server admins finally admitted that there's a problem and that they're working on it. Blah blah blah.

Their claim is that some kind of spambot has been circumventing their anti-spam protocols, resulting in thousands of spam messages being posted.


Is it feasible that this should happen for eight hours every Sunday? It seems weird that the outage would occur with such regularity, but for all I know that's how these things normally work.


Any guesses?

2. I run a website and I have seen a lot of incredible things involving spam

So I would say it is possible.
