I've been tea-total sober for a year now

and I've hated every goddamned minute of it. On the positive side, my money seems to go a lot farther nowdays. And if I hadn't quit, I'd probably be dead by now, so so I've got that goin' for me.

5. I get a little twitchy now and then

but apart from the first few months it's been easier than I thought it would be. I was a hard drinker all my life, but I guess wasn't really addicted. But the booze never quits talking to you, trying to get back in.
