Also, oddly, I went scuba diving in Hawaii about a week after I had mine. Since I had no sutures, I still had a tiny bit of blood flowing. I finally realized why the fish were coming straight for me!

That was my biggest complaint. That was almost 15 years ago and after that 2 weeks of silliness, it is "anywhere, any time, any place, and as often as possible". Life is good.

And before those who haven't been vasectomized, the burning I'm talking about is the only unpleasant part. To ensure your vas deferens doesn't send the spermies out, they cauterize it on both ends.

You do know what you would smell like if you were ever BBQ'd though...

My doc cut the vas in half, then put some clamp things on either end (well, ends, it was both sides). He didn't use a soldering iron, I do remember that much.

The smelling of burning deferens was, well, strange.

Also, one side was not numb enough and when he touched me with the cauterizing tip I almost jumped off the table. That was the only unpleasant part...well besides the part about the Dr. clipping on my junk.

I saw both pieces of the vas that he removed and they looked like uncooked macaroni.
