Poll question: I'm thinking about a vacation get-a-way type of wedding
Maybe sometime this summer or fall.

Suggestions?

(I live in New England, though that doesn't necessarily mean I'm opposed to staying in New England for my wedding.)

1. Hawaii is nice any time of year.
But I'd book now if you're seriously considering it.

Kauai is my favorite island. Just as beautiful as Maui, but a tad less crowded and touristy.

4. I would base it solely on
what you and your husband enjoy doing in common and the place that has the best of whatever that is to offer. :hi:

6. Think carefully about "getaway weddings"
Especially if you have a bunch of people you want to attend who might not be able to afford to travel to somewhere like Hawaii. If that's not really a factor, then go wild!

My cousin is getting married next year in Hawaii - it's not so much a destination wedding as it is a halfway point between families (She's American, he's Japanese). Wish we could go, but it's out of our budget.

7. I voted coastal Maine -- So many beautiful places to get married there.
Hawaii is gorgeous, but only get married there if you want to discourage people from attending -- It's obviously very $$$$$.
