maybe it'd be best to just stay out of it, since crawling under the desk to cry, or screaming and tearing my hair out won't really be very productive.....

Not that all arguing in other forums is pointless, just that there's more to life at times than banging one's head against a wall built by absolutists who don't understand politics in the first place. Most of the time I post there I'm either preaching to the choir, casting pearls before swine, or trampling pearls beneath my muddy hooves, and I can't even tell the difference anymore.

Far better to argue about whether Rush sucks or the Cowboys are the bane of the sports world. :)

for an English to Russian dictionary.

some were pretty worthless, but one did work, gave the cyrillic AND an audio file!

(No Opera, whatever that is; must be a PC thing.)

Make no mistake: I believe that the Lounge Lizards probably have a better understanding of the workings of politics. It's just that the Lounge Denizens get tired of the constant GD bickering.

The reason that I don't post in the Lounge much is that GD is actually funnier these days. Sure, most of the hilarity is unintentional, but it's still funny.
