I'm stuck at home today 'cause I have to take delivery on a new mattress. Ask me anything.

I have to sign for my honey's new digital camera before I can run to the brewery. They are tapping two casks of special ales at 3P.

It's five o'clock somewhere in the world, and I've got a few bottles of Obsidian Stout in the fridge downstairs... ;-)

6. If they scuff your walls bringing it in will you go all medieval on their asses? |
|
And smite them? Better wait till they finish putting it together before you do that.

9. I never go medieval on anybody. |
|
Especially if they know where I live... ;-)
But anyway, I always side with the working man against the corporation. So I tip well, and blame problems on the company, not the worker.

7. How long did it take to wear out the old one? |
|
I still accuse my wife of breaking a bed frame. Think about it.

10. We're putting the old one (about eight years old) on the guest bed, and keeping the new one |
|
for ourselves.
The mattress is not the problem. The bed frame was. We had to reinforce it with steel braces...
Enough TMI for one day... ;-)

11. When we got a new frame, we got one with the center beam and center legs. |
|
That kind can take a LOT more abuse.

12. Well, that was a wasted day. I called the store to ask why the deliverers hadn't shown up. |
|
They told me the delivery was scheduled for Saturday! I told them specifically that I wanted it delivered today!
Well, they gave me an additional 10% off what was already a good bargain. And the salesman totally took ownership of the error. Those two things right there are pretty rare occurrences. So it ended okay. The salesman called the delivery contractor and made them put me early in the delivery schedule Saturday; so I don't have to hang around all day. It could have ended much worse...
