3. The "take the X out of Christmas" crowd wants to remove JESUS from Christmas!
From Wikipedia:

The "X" in Xmas is from the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of Χριστός, Christ in Greek.

That's obviously not the only source, just the first I found online. The whole "take the X out of Christmas" thing is bullshit from a bunch of ignorant fools. So yes, PUT the X back in Christmas - WHERE IT BELONGS!

12. Let's not take Mithra, the "Unconquerable Sun," out of December 25
Mithra was the first one to have his birthday on December 25.

Let's not take Odin out of the Winter Solstic celebrations either.

Prior to Christianization in Germany, the German peoples had a tradition of the German god Odin. Odin was said to appear at the German holiday of Yule where he would arrive on an eight-legged horse named Sleipnir who could leap great distances. This is the origin of Santa’s reindeer. The early descriptions of Odin all seem to include the word “yule” and “long beard.” Odin would show up to lead the hunting party during the Yule season. Dutch children would leave boots filled with carrots, straw or sugar near the chimney for Sleipnir to eat. Odin would reward the children for their kindness by replacing the food for the flying horse with candy or gifts. This is the origin of Christmas stockings hanging on the fireplace. The Dutch after converting to Christianity converted Odin to Saint Nicholas. This practice of hanging stockings by the fireplace came to the United States through the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam.
