Why do lounge threads have the recommend/unrec option?
I feel so rejected when I do recommend something and DU tells me I can't. I feel like I'm sixteen years old and turned down for a date.

1. Recs and unrecs in the lounge would only end in two ways.
1. Threads like "I want to start a thread that never dies" or "I'm bullish on kudzu..." would flood the greatest page.

2. Insane flame wars would erupt over someone's "kitteh" or "clique" thread getting unrecced and there would have to be another purge.

3. I agree with the policy
But when I forget and do recommend something, the error message is just plain cruel. Best to be done with the option altogether.
