This sweet boy is such a love bug. Loves to cuddle and loves a belly rub.
He found our house one night cold and hungry looking for help.

We had him fixed and chipped, perfectly healthy and about a year and a half old, per the vet.
He uses his litter box without trouble, and he's been sleeping with us at night for the last few days.

He loves playing with paper grocery bags.
He likes to flop down on his back, roll around as if to say, "see how cute and pretty I am...come on, scratch my tummy."
For such a young boy, he's very laid back...loves to sleep. He wants to play with our other cats, but they are not interested.
We took him in so we could rescue him and find him a home.

We've named him 'Buddy', but feel free to rename him. Our only hard requirement is that he be an inside only cat.
We will keep him as long as necessary, and will continue to try to acclimate him with our 3 feminine cats...but he needs his own home.
He wants to play with our girls, but they don't seem interested yet. I think he would get along well with other cats or could be the only cat in the home.
He will need lots of love, and he is very vocal when it's time to eat. He cracks me up at how "out" he is when he sleeps.

Please consider adding this guy to your home...or ask around for us.
We would also be willing to drive outside of the DFW area...like Austin, just for example.

1. Buddy is a nice looking kitty boy. He looks like my old cat, Ticket.

We adopted our dog from the SPCA which has cats and dogs for adoption on Saturdays at Petco in a neighboring town.
At that Petco they have a bulletin board for lost/found, and adoptable pets and other related messages- if you have one at your local Petco you could put his photo and description there and someone might see that he could be just the tabby boy they've been waiting for.

3. I forwarded this on
to my sister in Mesquite and asked her to send it on to any cat lovers she knows. She's a dog owner but you never know.

If you were in New York I think my Cali would have a new brother.

5. See if you can find a no-kill shelter in your area that will post him on
Petfinder. I found homes for quite a few of my fosters that way. Make sure that you ask for some kind of reimbursement for the vet bills-even $50 or so-because that keeps the "bundlers" away. Bundlers pick up "free to good home" pets and sell them to laboratories (they are experts at passing themselves off as animal lovers). Just a heads up. Good luck, he's adorable!

6. Such a handsome cat!
If I were closer I'd definitely consider it - it would make 3 of a kind tabbies for me. Hope he finds his forever home soon, and I think you're a very humane and kind person to bring him in and give him that opportunity.

8. Lorien has a good idea- I saw our dog's photo and description on Petfinders
because she was taken in by the SPCA and in foster care after her rescuer/owner got sick and was in hospice care.
The foster care people bring the animals to Petco on Saturdays, so I emailed the the SPCA and told them we were interested in adopting "Freckles", as she was called then.
