N.E. DUers: Bush is having a fundraiser at the Park Plaza on Thursday
I posted something in Activism/Events, but knowing that many of our silly, sarcastic "Massholes" hang in the Lounge, I wanted to post some info here, too.

The fundraising dinner is from 6-9 PM, and the area is a heavily-traveled commuter area, so I don't know how they'll be able to keep people from going about their business. There are also three Happy Hour bars in the hotel, so I don't know if they'll close. Some of our freeper buddies are planning to be there, so I would love to be there as well. The AFL-CIO will have folks lining Arlington ST (though they will probably end up relegating them to a free speech zone in Dorchester).

Anyone interested?

RR

3. I expected Bush to be in the Western suburbs somewhere
the traffic will be f*ucked up for days thanks to his timing: during rush hour.

Too bad you can't be there. It is difficult for a lot of suburban DUers to get into the city (expensive parking, traffic, etc.).

4. it will be curious to see how many people spill out of the
south end to greet the great defender of marriage.

I used to live around the corner from there and remember Clinton's visits well. the freeps were handing out Lewinski signs to the homeless people.

so the freeps will be FAR outnumbered.

On edit: MassEquality will be there too-can't wait to see the turnout and how the local whore media covers it.

9. UJP, Cambridge Friends, and AFL-CIO organizing: times and update
PROTEST BUSH IN BOSTON
On March 25th, George W. Bush will be at the Park Plaza Hotel, (Copley
Square area), for a fundraiser.

***At 3:15, the Direct Action Committee will be welcoming Bush with a message in opposition to the Bioterrorism Lab planned for Roxbury under BU aegis.
NO TO BUSH! NO TO PERMANENT WAR! NO TO BIOWEAPONS LAB!

Gather between 3:15 and 3:30 across from the Arlington T-Station (green line) at the corner of Arlington
and Boylston Streets - for street theatre and more. Help us hand out fliers, hold signs, make some noise, and let people know about our campaign against the lab.

With questions, please contact Kyle Loring at ACE, 617.442.3343, x37 or kyle@ace-ej.org.

***At 5:00 people will be gathering at the Bandstand at Boston
Common (near Park St. Station) After a short gathering at the
bandstand, we will be joining with the AFL-CIO to protest. UJP and the
AFL-CIO are working together on an action plan.
