What's your favorite thing about Spring?
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 01:37 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
Tell us what your favorite part of spring is...

Mine is watching the flowers come alive, and the trees get their leaves. It's happening so fast. And there are new baby calves everywhere. It's so fun to watch them playing in the fields. And all the happy birds are back. I love spring. And the butt ass cold is gone. Thank God. Edit: I forgot about wearing flip flops everyday!

I completely agree. There's nothing prettier in the whole wide world than a hillside covered in bluebonnets and buttercups. :)

9. The trees get to look pink as you drive around.
It is the buds and for some reason I like to see that as with that and the sugar pails up you know Spring is on the way.

14. OPEN WINDOWS
Sleeping with the windows open... driving with the windows down... opening the windows when we get home from work... staying home all weekend with all the windows open.

Yep. Definitely open windows.

The birds are wonderful, the peepers are fun, the whippoorwill, when she sings, moves me to tears, the flowers are magnificent, the green is ridiculously welcome . . . .

but I have to say open windows are my favorite thing about spring.

17. The Days Getting Longer
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 04:10 PM by MikeH
I like seeing the days get longer, starting in January, becoming noticeable in February, and really becoming longer with spring. I also look forward to going on Daylight Saving Time and it being light later in the evening.

Also here in San Diego spring is the one time of the year we have colorful flowers and green grassy hillsides, particularly if we had good rain during the winter.

26. Nothing weird about it...
It's actually a pasttime here in oklahoma, where the storms can get violent. It's calming watching it rain. Not weird at all.

30. Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head
with silver liquid drops.
Let the rain sing you a lullaby.

The rain makes still pools
on the sidewalk.
The rain makes running pools
in the gutter.
The rain plays a little sleep-song
on our roof at night

And I love the rain

32. It gets too hot!
Down here in Florida anyway. It's nice during our winters (50s and 60s) and it curbs back up into the 80s during our springs.

33. Redbud trees blooming
Wildflowers and green grass, warm weather and mild temperatures, spring rocks. Right now here in Austin, the Redbud trees are in bloom as are the Texas Mountain Laurels. Most of the Redbud trees are pink or a fuchsia color and the Mountain Laurels are purple blooms. It's friggin beautiful.

I love spring. Takes your breath away.
