I have my IPOD working, even the Wi-Fi.

1. WiFi? Docking station?

I'm getting a feeling that my IPOD is way primitive. All it does is play music (or video, if I could ever figure out how).

3. The iPod Touch has Wi-Fi capability

I took it along on a brief trip to a convention last year and was able to keep up with my e-mail, which was a good thing, because as always, a customer forgot that I was going to be gone.

On the plane back and forth to the convention, I watched episodes of the last half-season of The Sopranos, which was broadcast after I dropped cable.

I love my iPod Touch. :loveya:

I don't have a docking station, which would allow me to use it like a stereo and broadcast the tunes to the whole room, but maybe one of these days.

(Yesterday I went to the Apple Store to get iTunes gift cards for my nieces, and the employees were using souped-up iPod Touches to process sales.)

6. Fixed one of my broken ones this week

Converted it from a harddrive to compact flash. Starts up and loads songs so much faster than before. Think I'll do the same to one of the other one and add bluetooth to it.

7. What I really like is the touch screen part and the Wi-Fi.

So many places have free Wi-Fi now.

I was thinking about getting something like a IPhone but this will do for now.

9. Can't justify one.

My old iPod still works fine. I only see music and listen to album art. In time, I'll get a new one. By then they'll probably included a teleportation device.

I had a colleague whose latest iPod would always "break" when a new model came out.
