The Religious Car
Now yesterday I asked a question. Would you drive a car that looked like a Christian Cross, Jewish Star, or Muslim Moon?

I take it one step forward. Pleas submit your ideas as to what the religious car would look like.

Could Hindus have their own religious cars and Buddhinsts?

Please submit your designs so that we can see the Religious Car in its all of its Holy Glory.

These days on DU, any religious themed humor is met with scores of angry replies damning the <name of religion> - bashers.

2. If you put a Star of David on a Mercedes-Benz
on the grille where the three-pointed star would go...would that be considered a Religious Car, or just in Highly Questionable Taste?

4. Not sure
But the whole idea of the religios car is that it would look like a star of david on wheels.

40. Mr. Lurking Dem once threatened
to go to the Temple parking lot during services and put a Built on the Backs of Jewish Slaves bumper sticker on every Mercedes in the lot.

I think he's over it now.

Mine would be a Catholic Car and it would have a fishing pole taped to the hood ornament and a small boy dangling in front of it.

:)

There, someone had to say it.

12. I'd have a LWB Bent bike
With two 5 spoked carbon fibre wheels, a Ti frame, and Campy record 10sp rear cluster. USS with a Mueller fairing up front, and a carbon tailbox in back, with a big ol nasty "Pagan Clergy" bumper sticker on one side, and a DU bumpersticker on the other.
Total weight -- 23 lbs or less.

17. . . .
Put down that chain saw and listen to me.
It's time for us to join in the fight.
It's time to let your babies grow up to be cowboys.
It's time to let the bedbugs bite.
You better put all your eggs in one basket.
You better count your chickens before they hatch.
You better sell some wine before its time.
You better find yourself an itch to scratch.

You better squeeze all the Charmin you can,
When Mr. Whipple's not around.
Stick your head in the microwave, and get yourself a tan.
Talk with your mouth full.
Bite the hand that feeds you.
Bite off more than you can chew.
What can you do?
Dare to be stupid.

Take some wooden nickels.
Look for Mr. Goodbar.
Get your mojo working now.
I'll show you how.
You can dare to be stupid.

You can turn the other cheek.
You can just give up the ship.
You can eat a bunch of sushi, then forget to leave a tip.
Dare to be stupid.

Come on and dare to be stupid.
It's so easy to do.
We're all waiting for you.
Let's go!

It's time to make a mountain out of a molehill.
So can I have a volunteer?
There's no more time for crying over spilled milk.
Now it's time for crying in your beer.
Settle down and raise a family, join the P.T.A.
Buy some sensible shoes and a Chevrolet.
Then party till you're broke, and they drag you away.
It's okay.
You can dare to be stupid.

It's like spitting on a fish.
It's like barking up a tree.
It's like I said, you gotta buy one if you wanna get one free.
Dare to be stupid.

Yes. Why don't you dare to be stupid.
It's so easy, so easy to do.
We're all waiting for you.
Burn your candle at both ends.
Look a gift horse in the mouth.
Mashed potatoes can be your friends.

You can be a coffee achiever.
You can sit around the house
And watch "Leave It To Beaver."
The future's up to you.
So what you gonna do?
Dare to be stupid.
Dare to be stupid.

What did I say?
(Dare to be stupid.)
Tell me, what did I say?
(Dare to be stupid.)
It's all right.
(Dare to be stupid.)
We can be stupid all night.
(Dare to be stupid.)
Come on, join the crowd.
(Dare to be stupid.)
Shout it out loud.
(Dare to be stupid.)
I can't hear you.
(Dare to be stupid.)
Okay, I can hear you now.

24. How profoundly rude.
You solicit responses from people (for a patently bizarre idea), and then not only do you not have the courtesy to read the response, but inform the poster who took the time to compose it--and it isn't terribly long, Carlos--that it's "too long?"

The sneering, in-your-face arrogance you've shown around here lately is getting pretty old. You post these outrageous statements, and then keep asking people to "flame you"--so there you go.

I'm familiar with the song, but you DID take the time to go find the lyrics and post them....and his dismissive response--of which we've seen far too many from him lately--was completely inappropriate.

30. :boggle:
You never cease to amaze, Carlos.

Never mind the aerodynamics, assuming you're even serious - what happens the first time someone rearends a Star of David or a Muslim crescent and is decapitated?

Could we get a fundamentalist version (available for all models) in which the interior lights are always on, but it looks like no one's behind the wheel?

Unreal.

33. Well, I drive a "Christ-ler"
Seriously, I drive a Catholic Car. After I bought my latest
wheels (a used LeBaron), I found a plaque inside the glove
compartment featuring a garish image of Jesus with bleeding
wounds in his chest and the caption "Member of the Sacred Heart
Auto Club". I left it there; if the car thinks it's Catholic,
who am I to interfere with its religious choice?

I can also use any Divine Intervention I can get. I haven't
had terrific luck with automobiles in the past - they have a
tendency to self-destruct while I'm driving.
