I have to say that I hate Xmas and this whole time of year.
I don't like winter and I hate that this holiday is pushed down my throat. I hate Xmas carols and I'm an atheist. I don't want to have to go spend time with my crazy elderly parents who are just unpleasent to be around. What I hate the most is all the effing commercials that encourage us to be considerate of the less fortunate. Why must we only do this at this bullshit time of year? Why can't we think of the unfortunate 24/7.

Apologies to anyone that enjoys this time of year, but I hate it.

2. We do, too, but
we are just making the best of it. Easy to do now that we're holed up at home and not subjected to all the racket of the season.

But we are going to be iced and snowed in for days, which in a way I don't mind since we don't need to go anywhere now, but I hate winter, too. It is so brown here in OK all through winter. The grass turns brown and yellow, there are fewer coniferous trees so no green through the winter there, either. I'm so depressed and ready to lose it by the time spring gets here.

Do something that makes you happy and forget about the rest. It's almost over. The holiday part, anyway. :hi:

4. I can't stand what my family has destroyed.
I used to love this time of the year as a child. It was fabulous even as an agnostic/atheist.

However over the years (last year for my family - we had a blowout fight - and now hers with the chaos that we don't want to be exposed to anymore)they both (BOTH SIDES!) have fucked it up so bad that we're FINALLY staying home. Admittedly it's less festive, I love my wife and we're happy, but I think we both miss the festivities.

However that's been fucked up year after year now so we go into the season alone.
