Flute completed 55% of threw a low 6.6 YPA. His TD to INT ratio wasn't impressive 19-16. Also in that season Rob Johnson in one game completed 73.5% of his passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns with a high 8.8 YPA. Not only that he has a career 7.2 YPA so I feel he made the right decision and they had the game won. It took a miracle play from a team that fell one yard short from going into overtime with momentum in the Super Bowl.

1998 Flutie had a really good season. In that scenario I would disagree about removing him but he did play in the playoffs and lost to Miami but Denver was the class of the NFL that year anyways.

Philips completely misread the team and they lost in their first playoff game with Johnson as QB.
