There's a group of 'matronly' ladies here whose trademark is an outrageous red hat and a purple/lilac dress. These ladies attend some sort of educational/cultural event every week and then go to a nice restaurant afterwards. They also raise money for charity, etc. .

Just curious if your town has a group like this? :)

2. Don't tell Red Hat Corporation, they'll sue...
They need all the money they can get to fend off SCO's bogus claims...

I live in repukeville. There's nothing kitschy for the masses... evne the wealthy prefer to remain locked up in their big houses on little lots...

5. that is a really neat organization
based on a poem... (when I am older I shall wear purple, I think), indicating that when you are older, you should dress and act as outrageously as you like. I think you have to be 50 to join. I'm bummed cause I'm not old enough to join, since I think it is a great idea. There are lots of chapters all over the country.

6. I saw something about them on TV.
I forget where their idea came from. But I don't know of a group around here.

7. yep there is...you can only wear red and purple if you are over 50; if you
