5. For me, that was his "Stormy Monday / Blues At Sunrise / Roadhouse Blues"...
My favorite Albert King album:

Blues At Sunrise and Roadhouse Blues...clocking in at 10 minutes each...are basically "Stormy Monday," another extended favorite from Albert's concerts. It wasn;t about the song, it was about the song being a suitable launching pad for Albert to whip out his shock & awe trickbag.

And when he starts any of them off, it's "Oh MAN, here we go...strap yourself IN."

Same for SRV's "Texas Flood." From the opening notes, you knew THAT boy was gonna be peeling some PAINT off the walls.

7. There is only one thing that sucks about this song.
That is that whenever there is a heavy rain coming down, every classic rock station plays this song in a stunning display of lack of originality.

8. Says more about "classic rock" stations than Texas Flood.
There is absolutely nothing that sucks about Texas Flood. IMO it's SRV's masterpiece. I remember reading a quote from Chris Layton that he always had to stay on his toes with that tune as Stevie never played it the same way twice. I think I've heard every recorded version available, and each is better than the last.
