4. Our Snowy--who came home to us on December 5th--was rescued

from an animal shelter in Georgia by a South Carolina rescue group and she's now at home in Chapel Hill
reading the NY Times on Sunday morning!

6. Nope, New Beginnings Shepherd Rescue, although the lady from

the rescue group told me she didn't know why anyone thought Snowy was part Shepherd--although they still took her out of the shelter. They listed her as Golden Retriever/Spitz on Petfinder. Possibly the person
who contacted them to see if they'd come rescue her thought she was part white Shepherd.

12. Thanks for this. My wife and I

just had to put our Jack down a couple of hours ago. He was a Dalmatian that we adopted from a local shelter in '98. He was a great companion and loved everybody, especially kids. We will miss him dearly...already do.
In the near future, we'll be adopting another friend like Stanley or Jack.
I'm not much of a crier, but Stanley's story made me cry for the 2nd time today. Good for him!

15. I am so sorry that you have lost Jack.

I know the heartache of losing a companion like that. Their lives are always too short..and no matter how long they live, it would be too short.

I have found that only time and tears help to make the ache a little less unbearable.
