:scared:

wasn't spitting out ice. making strange noise.

i opted for the Sears repair man. she took it apart and pulled it out of the freezer.

she used a butter knife, took it out and is "fixing" it as we speak

8. Listen, some of us have to be Miss Fix-it.
My husband works all kinds of different hours, and if I couldn't fix a problem or change a light bulb (I did have to get over ladder-panic) or the battery in the smoke alarm, I'd have drowned in the dark or been peeped to insanity by a low battery. Not that I don't appreciate all he does, but you gotta have a few basic skills.
While you're up, could you get me a drink? ;-)

20. Proud to be a Ms Fix it!
Hubby and I each have our strengths. His are his work, being a good dad and knowing alot about sports. I take care of the rest. I've put down wood floors, installed a sprinkler system, run electrical wiring and replaced plumbing fixtures. I can use a miter chop saw, hubby can't use a screwdriver. It works for us- we've been together for 20 years now.

24. I do the majority of the fixing around our house too.
My husband works obscene hours. My dad is a retired appliance repair person. I've been tinkering since I could hold the tools. Top it off, I was lived alone for 12 years before I got married. If I wanted anything done, I either paid for it (not likely, I'm not forking out that kind of cash when I can do it myself) or did it myself. Matter of fact, just this past week I changed the alternator on the car.

13. Did that last week :)
GE wanted $60 bucks just to show up. It was a frozen blockage in the water line. Thawed the line and the icemaker works like new. Unfortunately, in the process of pulling the fridge out, the icemaker line loosened and is now leaking.

18. If it's the copper fittings that
are leaking you can turn the water off, unscrew the fittings, line the inside with white plumbers tape and that will stop the leaking.

Wonderful stuff that plumbers tape. I've used it whenever I've replaced a shower head and have never had a problem with them leaking.
