In need of some knowledgeification

I just got back from my mother in law's for Christmas and am suffering from symptoms of DU withdrawal ... or maybe its just the DTs from too much booze.

Also I have some random miscellaneous knowledge type questions that I wondered about over the holidays, and would appreciate any information from anyone:

1) What is the change in pressure for each unit of measurement in altitude, or depth in water? Why do I need to know this? I don't, but I just wondered.

2) Who got the last of the cranberry sauce.

3) Who invented congealed salads? Why?
