2. We spent the evening with friends...
He's a winemaker. Now normally I think homebrew wine tastes like crap (because it does). But his stuff is really good. So we had a little tasing and some good food and called it a night. Ready for a few beers while watching the games today!

12. Sometimes, misspellings are very entertaining...
Not making fun of you, Jeff, but "So we had a little tasing and some good food" conjures up very interesting visuals.

"Haw!, Tase him again, bro! And pass me another canape!"

Happy New Year.

22. What makes you think it was a typo?
We're just that way...

It's an age problem. I need to adjust the font on the screen.

16. That sounds fun. I don't know anybody who makes their own wine.
But dude, "A little tasing..."? That doesn't sound very festive!

3. I was pretty moderate last night.
Only three drinks. So I'm not feeling any pain from that. However, staying up til 2 and dancing around to the band has me a wee bit tired!

8. I don't drink more than 2 drinks in a day.
It messes with my ability to hit on drunk women. (I don't actually hit on drunk women, I just like the socially-inappropriate joke.)

:hide:

I didn't have anything to drink last night or for the last week. I just don't know that I need to. Three fingers of rye is a good way to relax with some Coltraine and a pretty woman...on the other hand, I'm stranded in NW CT with my parents, brother and his fiance on a 4 acre defunct non-bovine dairy. They're not the sort of people I want to drink with...my mom likes to ask me when I'm going to be ready to settle-down and whelp her some granbabies. My stepfather just wants someone to be crude with.

13. I had part of a vesper martini and that's it.
3 measures gin
1 meas. vodka
.5 meas. Lillet (substitute w/ dry vermouth & bitters)
Shake until ice cold.
Strain.
Serve with orange slice.

That's a bit much for me, so I split one w/ Sweetie. And even then, I didn't drink the whole thing.

14. I was okay until...
The Jack Daniels shots. Oh, then someone handed me a glass of champagne to drink at midnight. At that point, I did not give a shit about any new year.

15. it's always until those shots, eh?

One wild year we got competitive with the tequila shots. Coined a new term for puking - "killing grass" - because there were a few spots out in the yard than didn't grow back for YEARS.

19. I think I'd feel better if I had 'killed grass'
The only reason I even went out is because the band playing at the bar I go to, only plays 80s music.
