Good Vibes for my Puppy please!

So the plan is to take her to a free Spay clinic tomorrow at 5 or 6 am hopefully she will get seen. I have been cleaning all day and have purchased a comfy cone and a get well soon bone(for after the surgery) I am a little nervous about the full on hysterectomy and surgry in general but dont want to worry about any Romeos at the dog park and I was told it will cut down her chances of getting breast cancer!

20. Well, get ready for some discharge which may look

like green poop, but not like poop at all. She will probably vomit also. This is nothing to worry about. Just getting rid of somethings that needs to be gotten rid of. (How is that for medical terminology) lol

Have gone through it many times. My latest puppy is twelve and had this done when she was a puppy. Although this is a protective measure against breast cancer just be advised that it does not always work. My dog did get breast cancer a few years ago. The vet said it was a very rare occurrence. Funny thing (more strange than funny) is that a few years later I developed breast cancer and my case was a very rare one also. Talk about dogs and their owners sharing life experiences. ;)

15. :^) Thanks! I remember very well when we took our now 15 yo kittehs to be fixed. I was a wreck tryin

to keep them from biting at their stitches. Pickles kept jumping up on things, which I was sure would rip her tummy open, but no. She was fine.

The worst aspect was actually that the cat who did not go to the vet that time kept attacking the other one for smelling "wrong" when (s)he came home. :(

youngest dog I ever lived with was 9mo. I have never experienced the wiggly bundle of joy that is a new pup, so I dunno if you can do the private room thing or not. :) Maybe your bedroom would be a comforting place to be?

18. When I got Barney fixed..

I put him down in the basement on a nice comfy bed. I also trained a webcam on him so I could check on him without waking him up. He did very well!

I had another male cat who got fixed and jumped up off the couch when a cop car came screaming by with his siren. So now I know to put them in a nice quiet place and let them heal.

26. I am so proud of My Cat right now he is being protective of the puppy who just got spayed!

Frisky is total coolness(he is my quantum kitty)! the puppy is all out of it and disoriented and accidentally bumped into my other kitty Dax who then tried to swat the puppy but was stopped by Frisky ! Later on when Dax tried to get on the bed and frisky Frisky stopped her! He has been cautiously trying to comfort the pup!

Should I clean out her wounds? And if so with what and how often?

I know the dog park is off limits until a week but what about easy walks?

What should I do to keep a convalescent puppy with lots of crazy puppy energy occupied?
