What is it about "Yes, Dear"?
This sitcom is really pretty bad by my standards. I hate the characters for the most part, with Anthony Clark as such a complete whiner, and the rest of them are rather obnoxious as well.

And yet, it's suddenly a hit! They are constantly having big stars on there, everyone from Chuck Norris one week, Trace Adkins and some other country singer, to Gray Davis, to Kevin Smith. Why is this? Is it now considered a form of camp, with a "Lucy" mentality, where these celebrities like to play themselves in a really stupid plotline? I guess I haven't figured it out. I turn it off more than have it on, but there is so little to watch on TV on a Monday night....

Just like almost everything else on TV, it's geared down to the least common denominator in mental acuity. :dunce:

4. Watch it ourselves--
Mostly because it falls between two other great shows and who wants to change the channel? Still standing is a hoot and we LOVE Raymond.

5. whats with the dude's crappy american accent?
I watched for about 2 minutes once. The guy clearly had a couple of accent lessons telling him to speak slowly for the americans - painful to listen to him the words aren't slower so much as the pauses between words a little too long. Also it is just a generally bad attempt at a generic US accent.

6. I saw one episode...
It involved the 30-something offspring catching their 50+ year old parents having xes. "xes" is an anagram pertaining to a taboo subject on DU. Another anagram of "xes" is "exs". Or "sxe". Or even "sex".

It was doubly embarrassing to watch because I was watching it with my parents on holiday at their house!!! !!! !!! !!! Ewww...

7. why do young people think they invented sex?
I never thought like that. Not that I want to see it but I do accept that older people, even parents, maybe me if I am lucky, have sex.
