I am not home at the moment but if I was they would still be up.

I will take them down next weekend.

It always takes me a long time to get into the holiday feeling.

I like to burn the indoor lights into January.

1. My decorations stay up and lit through Epiphany
They'll get put away next weekend. I need to reclaim my house and focus on tax season and clients.

:hi:

2. Tree actually comes down before the other decorations in my house
I am really bad about keeping the tree watered once gifts are around it, so by now it's all droopy and the ornaments are starting to fall off. I'll take it down before trash day (Thursday), but I'll leave the lights and greenery up (on the mantel and around the banister etc.) for another week or two. I like the indoor lights during the darkness of January too.

10. Down and done
Granted, the only decoration was one little snowman ornament that was sent to us and had a little light inside. My wife hung it from a cord pull at just the right hight to bap me in the head every time I got up from my desk. Its gone. It will never come back.

14. didn't really put any up this year
one string of white lights on a juniper branch, dozen new sparkly blue ornaments I got for my birthday, and some blue tinsel string (I think its supposed to be for packages, not trees but what the hell) is all we put up. On Christmas eve, around dark. It will probably sit there until February.

17. Take it down?
.
I'm much happier now that, instead of taking it down, I just decorate it
differently for ALL the holidays.
.
My New Year's tree. My Presidents' Day tree. My April Fools Day tree. My
Thanksgiving Day tree, etc. etc. etc.
.
My Easter tree:
.

.
My Independence Day tree:

Etc. etc. etc
.
Of course, I DO take it down for Arbor Day. It wouldn't be fair to make
it work on its own holiday. I am not without compassion.

to take down, that will take a while since it's so cold.

The rooms always look so bare when the decorations are gone.

so much time decorating I can't bear to take it down.

23. I'm leaving the tree up this year.
It took me long enough to get into the Christmas spirit, and now that it's over I have 3.5 months of cold with no festive, lighted holidays to look forward to.

If my tree is down before February, I'll be surprised.

30. nah, we always put em up late, a few days before Christmas, so we leave em
up a bit longer.

The tree will probably start getting pretty dry soon, though, so that might have to go this weekend.
