1. Obviously not bad internet connection
Do you have any sound at all? Your message seems to indicate that the computer is functioning normally, but that you cannot connect to the Internet show you wanted to listen to.

If that is the case, it could be a problem further upstream, meaning that it's out of your hands.

4. OK, n/m about "upstream" then
If you haven't any sound coming from your computer, it's probably an issue with the sound card.

A few things to try. I'm assuming you have a recent version of Windows. Right click on your "My Computer" icon, and go to Properties. There should be a "Hardware" or "Device Manager" tab... if it's "Device Manager", just click the tab, and scroll down to Sound, Video, and Game Controllers. If it's "Hardware", click the "Device Manager" button on the tab, and scroll down to the Sound, Video, and Game Controllers.

Expand the tree by clicking on the plus icon, and look at the list. Let me know what you see.

12. Something I've noticed on my computer?
I run Windows 98, BTW, is that unless i turn the machine all the way off, i will sometimes not have any sound. Once I take the machine all the way off and then turn it back on I have all the sounds back again.

I'm no techno guru--but it works for me...
