Wired names Kevin Conroy as best Batman of all time!
http://www.wired.com/underwire/2009/12/best-batman/

1. Kevin Conroy: It is our humble opinion that this voiceover legend is the finest Batman on record. His dynamic range has both darkened Batman and lightened up Bruce Wayne, from the groundbreaking Batman: The Animated Series in the ’90s to 2008’s sublime Batman: Gotham Knight and 2009’s Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. He’s certainly put in more time than any other Batman actor. Until someone comes and snatches it from him, Conroy owns Wayne Manor and the Batcave. Everyone else is merely visiting.

Voice actor Kevin Conroy has not only voiced Batman and Bruce Wayne for Batman: The Animated Series, but also for six animated movies, three other animated series and three video games including the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum.

1. At the moment, he is indeed
His work in Mask of the Phantasm was beyond reproach.

With that said, if Christopher Nolan directs the focus back to the title character, Christian Bale may yet topple Conroy.

2. He could if they do something about his damn voice
Christian Bale sounds like he has been out partying all night and lost his voice. Its really hard to take him seriously.

8. I'd go even further: Animated series was the best Batman, period.
Conroy, a whole slew of other highly talented actors, and excellent writing makes that the best of all portrayals of Batman.

Mark Hamil also made a fabulous Joker.

9. I wish they would get him for ALL the animated Batman spots
They got him for the last Superman/Batman Public Enemies movie but he's not doing Batman for Justice League Crisis on Two Earths. I wish he could play Batman in the live action movies as well. He's my favorite Batman of all time pretty much.

10. Heath Ledger is still the best Joker.
And you cannot deny the greatness of the original Batman - Adam West.

11. He's no Adam West
Regardless, I'm going to swim against the tide here and say that I really don't really care for that animation style.
