Good morning Lounge
How are you today? How was your first day at work after the Christmas vacation (in case you had a vacation)? :)

I took it easy yesterday, not doing much cataloging. Actually none. Today I started with cataloging the books I got December 30th. That day I only made sure the bill counted for 2009. Now I can do all the other stuff like adding the systematic and putting the label on the books. Library work so to speak :)

Yesterday evening I went and bought a big box for all my Christmas stuff. Tomorrow evening the tree will leave the condo. I will miss it. It looked so nice.

1. Good morning MissH!
Nice picture (ahem) with lots of snow. :)

Did you go swimming last night? I was going to swim over my lunch break, but I just couldn't fathom the thought of putting on a swim suit. It was so cold in my office I had been freezing all morning, and then the cold walk to the pool. So I decided to row, which is good. Have to start my training anyway, and now is as good a time as any.

You put up a tree? Did you take pics? I haven't put up a tree in years although I did some minimal decorating.

:hi: :loveya:

3. Good morning Callalily
:hi:  :loveya:

I will go swimming today. Did you row indoors on one of those stationary rowing thingies?

Yes, I put up a very nice tree. Only decorataed with lamps (the tree was not suited for candles), red and silver crystal balls. And some red stars. It looked really nice.

5. Oh, your tree sounds lovely!
If you have time, please take a picture before you take it down.

Yes, I row on a Concept 2 similar to this. The machines are facing a big window which looks down on a racket ball court, but no one was playing yesterday. Rowing is boring, so it's nice to watch something. Also, with the window, I can see my reflection and watch my posture, etc. which is a bonus.

I'll think I'll alternate workouts; rowing, swimming and yoga so I won't get so bored. What fun huh?

6. Sorry
I already took the ornaments down Sunday. Its only the bare tree still standing, needles falling off ... not a pretty sight.

Hey, at least you are doing something for your health - compared to me x(

7. Okay, please make a note -
to take a picture of your tree next year. ;)

Well . . . I've gained some (ahem) weight this winter and I want to get rid of it. Don't really want to carry extra weight up and down the river when we can start rowing outdoors again.

Actually, I have been very faithful about working out during my lunch break. I find that time suits me the best. It relieves any work stress that I acquired during the morning and gives me energy for the afternoon.

I do remember that you're going to start swimming again. Although I'm not a "technical" swimming I love to swim. I find it very mentally relaxing.

8. You mean 2011?
:P :hide:

I didn't step on the scale before Christmas, after Christmas nor after New Year. I am in blissfull ignorance about my weight. But I do know that I need to lose some pounds.

When I go swimming I am going to a class. It is a cardiac class this time, 45 minutes workout. Since I am totally out of shape me thinks that is a good way to get back some stamina.
Not sure I will have the power afterwards to swim some lanes.

11. LOL - and I have
been so careful this year - up until now with regard to 2010 - 2011 reference. ;)

I LOVE those cardiac water classes. Unfortunately they offer them here at a time that is inconvenient for me, that's why I swim laps. Any exercise in the water is great. It's easy on joints, and although you are working hard, it doesn't really feel like it.

Got to head out for work now. I'm walking so I have to leave a little earlier than when I drive. Brrrrr . . . it's 14F out there right now, with a chill factor of 1F. Think it's going to take me a while to bundle up?

Wishing you a great day.

12. LOL - sorry
I couldn't resist.

Yes, you better bundle up. It is freezing here too, so I am glad I am an office rat :)

I will tell you tomorrow how the class went. It will be my first time in the cardiac class.

Have a great day yourself

2. Good Morning Miss Honeychurch :)
:hi:  :loveya: :pals:

Yesterday was busy for me. There was a over-stock order to pull for the main warehouse, as well as an incoming one to put away. Our deliveries were light, which meant I spent most of the day inside. Considering how cold it was, I had no problem staying at the shop. :)

Our tree goes away this weekend. They won't let me keep it up until april. Meanies.

4. Good morning SCE
:hi:  :loveya:

If I'd keep the tree till April I would only have a sceleton standing in my room. The needles are already falling off quite easily. Before I take it out tomorrow evening I will shake the tree so that all the needles get off. That way I don't need to brush the housefloor ...

Those days I am rather glad I am an office rat :D

9. Good Afternoon, MissH
Yesterday was fine, although a bit busy. Today I'm going to do all of the things I usually put off. I have a vacation from the 13-19th, so everything has to be in order by then...

15. It's actually not a real vacation, although it's time off of work
I'll be spending it in court with a friend who was raped several years ago. They finally caught the guy, and now it's going to trial, and she has asked a bunch of us to come and support her.

So time off, but not fun.

What will you do in February?

17. Hello Miss Honeychurch!
I only just got out of bed, having slept like a log I was so tired.

I always find it sad to take the tree down after the holidays.

I didn't get one this year, so it doesn't matter lol.
